What is it made out of ?
Plantation grown Radiata Pine that has been finger-jointed.
The dowel is actually made up of 2 pieces of timber that have been laminated together, and finger-jointed.
The glues we use are suitable for interior application only. If you wish to use our timber dowel for exterior application, or staining, then we suggest you use our 43mm Dowel range or below.
What are the important dimensions?
Overall : 60mm Diameter x Various Lengths
Maximum length available is approximately 5.4 metres (subject to availability).
How should you finish it ?
As this product is finger-jointed, we recommend that it be painted, as opposed to stained or lacquered.
