The Story

Where would you normally use this stainless steel wire cable fitting?
For hydraulically swaged cable balustrading with timber posts.
For more information, please click here to download a PDF that shows where this part would be used for wire cabling.

What is it made out of?
316 Stainless Steel.

How do I fasten the cable to it?
The 3.2mm wire cable goes into the open end of the fitting. Use an hydraulic swager to secure the cable. Do NOT use a hand swager or pliers, as the pressure required to press the metal flat is far greater than can be applied by hand.
Being a left hand thread, it is designed to be used inconjunction with the right hand thread version SSW052-6.

Can it be used for exterior applications?
As it is 316 grade Stainless Steel it is more than suitable to be used inside or outside.
